Да будет свет! И вот явился Ньютон.
Но Сатана недолго ждал реванша -
Пришел Эйнштейн - и стало все как раньше.
есть, оказывается, английский эквивалент (оригинал?)

God said, "Let Newton be," and all was light.
It did not last; the devil howling "Ho!
Let Einstein be!" restored the status quo.
